In the Republic of Moldova, the issue of establishing civil society institutions began to be discussed especially with the awakening of national consciousness and social emancipation in 1988, due to the emergence of new groups with radical social claims. Since then, both external and internal (economic, social, political and / or cultural issues) have determined the continued development of the Moldovan associative sector. Thus, a brief analysis of the process of reconstruction of Polish, Hungarian and Czechoslovak civil society and the role of Polish, Hungarian and Czechoslovak civil society in the democratic discovery is made in this article. Also, the main stages of development of Moldovan civil society institutions in the context of democratic change are examined, namely: the stage of rebirth (1988-1990); stage of constitution (1991-1996); the consolidation stage (1997-2008) and the stage of transformation (2009-present).
