| Rezumat | ||||||
The Prut river, although once navigable, because of the many changes of its status, from inland river to border river, has not been capitalized on properly such that it could support the economic development of the three countries to which it is the natural border: Romania, Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine. The Prut navigable potential is huge and, through an international program judiciously structured and negotiated, could become another important means to link the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea. Actually, this project has existed since 1920. |
