Rezumat

The problems of the socio-economic status of men and women, gender features of economic development have long been in the sphere of public attention. This attention is justified by such facts, which testify to gender inequality, as inequality of opportunities in the world of work and inequality in the results of work. The effective functioning and sustainable development of a modern market economy largely depends on the ability of the labor market to respond adequately to the occurring changes. Based on the abovementioned objective of the study is to study the specifics and features of the gender segmentation of the labor market in the Republic of Moldova. The basis of research methodology is such scientific methods as: study and generalization, abstraction, formalization, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, historical and logistical approaches, a method of comparison and grouping
