The dispersion equation is analyzed for axisymmetric capillary waves at the surface of a volumetrically charged cylindrical jet of ideal incompressible dielectric liquid. It is shown that, for liquids of minor dielectric permittivity, there is the possibility of total stabilization of the jet capillary instability by means of volume electric charge.
