Rezumat

The purpose of this research was to study the chemical profile of various biological material of safflower (seeds, leaves, callus). The presence of fatty acids, flavonoids, steroids, triterpene glycosides and polysaccharides was established by spectrophotometric and chromatographic methods. In laboratory conditions the effect of flavonoids isolated from safflower seeds, leaves and callus on germination capacity of vegetable seeds was studied. The pre-germination soaking of tomato and cucumber seeds in solution of isolated flavonoids leads to increasing of germination energy of tomato seeds by 5-7%, and cucumber seeds by 3-4%.
