Rezumat

The aim of our study was to determine the fungicidal activity of Rheum root extract against root rot of seeds (soybean, maize) and its influence on germination. Based on the data obtained on nutrient media under laboratory conditions, it can be stated that the R. rhaponticum L extract in concentrations of 80%, 50% and 10% has a significant fungicidal activity against the maize and the soybean phytopathogens. Rheum extract (10%) for pre-sowing treatment of sweet corn seeds in experiments in plants combines fungicidal properties with stimulation of stem size (by 11%), germination energy (by 6.0%), germination (by 5.9%) and can be used for field experiments. For pre-sowing treatment of soybean seeds, it is preferable to use a 3% concentration. Key
