Rezumat

This paper analyzes the role of lifelong learning, focusing on and promoting the phenomenon of creativity in people with special educational needs of different ages, through parents’ involvement, in order to improve their knowledge, abilities and competences, from a personal, civic, psychosocial perspective and their insertion on the labor market. At the same time, the paper combines information that proves the existence of the mutual link between creativity and personal development of children with disabilities, examining their ways of interacting with others and the correlation to individual-psychological and professional formations.  The significance of the mentioned conceptual and methodological materials is stipulated by law, with importance attributed to them by different documents within national and international educational policies, being a topic more actively addressed in the literature and various scientific researches in the field of education. In this context, the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020, the National Strategy "Education - 2020" (2014), the Education Code of the Republic of Moldova (2014), the Program of Activity of the Government of the Republic of Moldova "European Integration: Freedom, Democracy, Welfare" (20092013) etc. highlight the importance of extending psychological assistance mechanisms to the responsibility of parents of children with special educational needs and their full involvement in the process of developing creativity through the concept of lifelong learning.
