Simple, triple, stepwise and complex hybrids of Salvia sclarea L. (Clary Sage) with different vegetation periods, manifest heterosis in F3-F4 generations, were evaluated. The highest heterosis effect was registered for the quantitative traits of the inflorescence second degree ramification number compared to the maternal form: +77.6% and to the paternal form +118.3%. The essential oil content ranged from 1.127 to 2.347% (d.m.), but the highest heterosis effect was recorded on a stepwise hybrid: +111.8% compared to maternal form and +26.3% to the paternal form; and to a complex hybrid: +186.9% in relation to the maternal form. |
