Rezumat

Alternaria was identified in tomato fruits of the variety Tomiş using primers from the gene glyceraldehede 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPD). Molecular genetics research allowed to carry out specific identification of the phytopathogenic infection. In the work fruits with symptoms of the infection as well as without these symptoms were used. The study allowed to determine the species of Alternaria infection. A. аlternata was found on the surface, in the pulp and in the seeds of the affected fruits. Simultaneously, two species of pathogen were found on the surface of infected fruits: A. alternata and A. solani. Latent infection was detected both on the surface and in seeds of visually healthy tomato fruits. The phytopathogen A. аlternata prevailed over the A. solani.
