This article tackles the concept of critical thinking. There are mentioned, mainly, the stages of critical thinking and the conditions that assure the development of pupils’ critical thinking. The article answers the questions: why is critical thinking important and which is the teacher’s role in its development. The practical part of the article contains a set of tasks, proposed to the pupils at school subject History of the Romanians and Universal History, which imply the development of critical thinking. |
