Rezumat | |||||
The impact of global warming contributes to the invasion and the spread of quarantine weeds in natural grasslands in the Republic of Moldova. The most aggressive quarantine weeds are: Ambrosia artemisifolia L., Cyclachena xanthifolia (Nutt.) Fresen and Cenchrus pauciflorus Benth., whose ecological indices are close or identical to those from the meso-hygrophytic habitat of meadows and the xero-mesophytic habitat of steppes, but global warming boosts their productivity, abundance and spread of their seeds. If the degradation of natural grasslands will continue, other recorded quarantine weed species, such as: Ambrosia trifida L., Ambrosia psilostachya DC., Acroptilon repens DC., Iva axillaris Pursh., Euphorbia dentata Michx., Solanium triforum Nutt., Solanium rostratum, Solanium elaeagnifolium and Solanium carolinense L., which also have environmental requirements similar to those of natural grasslands, may spread in our country. |
