In this article we intend to investigate the image of the journey, reflected in the Travel Memorial, signed by Grigore Alexandrescu. By designing in the text the Oltenian universe from the past and the present, the author remakes, for ethical and sentimental reasons, the itinerary with his friend Ion Ghica. Thus, in the memorial, the voyage is converted to the ingenious way, in a complex, narrative narrative, on this thematic frame, the author assembling a variety of elements: descriptive sequences (landscapes, physical portraits, morals, clothes), lyrical passages, legends, meditations, historical information, narrative fragments (real novels, stories of some characters), etc. Alexandrescu's narrative approach is organized in two registers: ludic-ironic and serious.
