У статті досліджуються альтернативні підходи до вибору іноземного права, а саме – застосуванням норм прямої дії, renvoi та depecage. Ці підходи хоч і не є широковживаними та піддаються критиці, але все ж викликають чималий інтерес як серед науковців, так і серед юристів-практиків і суддів. Звертається увага на практичні складнощі застосування цих підходів, а також досліджується їхнє законодавче закріплення у різних країнах. Також автор звертає окрему увагу на міжнародні конвенції, які використовують зазначені підходи, або ж досліджує причини, чому той чи інший підхід не передбачений у міжнародних конвенціях.

The article studies alternative approaches to the choice of applicable foreign law, namely – rules of immediate application, renvoi and depecage. Though these approaches are not widely used and are subject to criticism, still they draw attention of scientists, legal practitioners and judges. The author pays attention to the practical difficulties of these approaches and studies their legalization in different countries. In addition, the author pays attention to international conventions which use these approaches, as well as finds out the grounds why international conventions refuse to apply the above approaches.
