Rezumat

The instability of the bending mode of a charged cylindrical jet of a viscous liquid with its ultimate electroconductivity in a collinear electrostatic field was studied theoretically using an analytical estimation. The development of the bending instability was found to be more feasible for weakly conductive liquids with small values of the surface diffusion coefficient of the electric charge.
