Rezumat

The processes of the electrohydraulic destruction of brittle materials are studied using the example of black coal. The Kolsky method is employed for determining and studying the dynamic characteristics of black coal (the ultimate strength and the specific work of destruction) and its destruction under pulse loading (the dependence of the number of fragments of the destroyed sample on the pressure wave’s amplitude). Based on these data, we developed a technique for determining the efficiency of the destruction and crushing of black coal blocks under exposure to an electric discharge in water.
