The paper presents brief information about the creator of the scientific school of applied electrochemistry in Moldova, Doctor of Technological Sciences, professor, ASM academician Yu. N. Petrov, scientific interests and some of the achievements of his students in the development of the theory, improvement of new trends related to the galvanic deposition of wear-resistant coatings for worn machine parts. The connection of electrochemistry with other sciences is shown, the methods of study are developed, the theoretical dependences and the practical results are obtained, and the new ideas about the electrochemical processes and scientific approach to their study are generated. |
