Rezumat

The article examines the formation of different abbreviations in the science information vocabulary. The abbreviations are used in the current language of the Romanian language and in the terminology of linguistics with the generic sense of abbreviation of a word or group of words. Abbreviations are mainly used in writing. These are, as a rule, abbreviations of words that appear more often, being quite well known in their complete form. A number of rules for using abbreviations can be extracted from the last spelling dictionaries in science information vocabularies and different databases. Abbreviations of words are also added by communication through emoticons and it's a time when we do not know many of the abbreviations that appear in the contemporary era. In the information explosion that we are going through, with the emergence of information technologies, various abbreviations have emerged that can change over time. The problem of abbreviations and logos has been widely discussed by lexicologists who are not very sure to delimit the two nuances. The fact is we can has the following differentiation: the abbreviation is written but does not pronounce (vom always pronounce the whole word), while the logos are written and written pronounce. Another link we can make is that certain abbreviations can be transformed into logos, that is, those that have been formed starting from the initials of their own names. Other logos, due to their frequent use, lose what we call "Morphological field", their origin actually, which poses problems of understanding, especially for a stranger who does not find the necessary explanations in the dictionaries.
