Стаття присвячена дослідженню сутності та змісту інформаційно-комунікаційної свободи у державі як індикатора демократичності. Автором проаналізовано її взаємозв’язок із реалізацією громадського контролю у публічно-правовій сфері, а також шляхи правового захисту вказаної свободи. Зроблено висновок про значний вплив інформаційних технологій на розвиток та утвердження сучасної демократії.

The article is devoted to the study of the essence and content of information and communication freedom in the state as an indicator of democracy. The author analyzed its relationship with the implementation of public control in the public law sphere, as well as ways of legal protection of this freedom. The conclusion is made of the significant influence of information technology on the development and adoption of modern democracy
