У статті розглядаються правові засади, завдання та заходи підрозділів Національної поліції України щодо запобігання схилянню до вживання наркотичних засобів, психотропних речовин або аналогів. Результати дослідження стану поширення цих злочинів, причин і умов, що сприяють учиненню, дають можливість констатувати суттєве скорочення кількості виявлених злочинів цього виду поряд зі стрімким поширенням захворювань на наркоманію. Зроблено висновок про зниження ефективності діяльності правоохоронних та інших державних органів у цьому напрямі. Запропоновано напрями покращання ситуації у сфері запобігання незаконному наркообігу та визначено перелік основних заходів, які мають плануватися та реалізовуватися Національною поліцією з метою вдосконалення запобігання схилянню до вживання наркотиків.

The article carries the material about the legal principles and tasks of the units of the National Police of Ukraine the prevention of the inducement to take narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues. At the beginning it deals with the state of the spread of these crimes, the criminological characteristic, the reasons and the conditions contributing to their implementation are investigated. The author stresses about significant reduction in the number of detected crimes in this species. Based on the analysis of statistics on the rapid spread of illnesses for drug addiction, it was concluded that the effectiveness of the activity of law enforcement and other state bodies in this direction has been reduced. The directions of improvement of the situation in the area of prevention of illegal drug activity are proposed. To summarize the author writes about the main activities that should be planned and implemented by the National Police in order to improve the prevention of the inducement to take narcotics.
