Anodic plasma electrolytic treatment is widely used to improve the functional properties of the material to a depth of 500 microns. Nitriding and borating carried out to improve the wear characteristics of the titanium alloy and their microhardness. Nitriding was carried out in an electrolyte containing 10 wt% NH4Cl, 5% NH3, and borating in an electrolyte containing 10 wt% NH4Cl, 3% H3BO3. Sample temperature varying in range 700-1050°C. To study the corrosion characteristics of the titanium alloy used as a ringer solution closest electrolyte similar to body fluids. Correlation was shown between the different methods of studying the corrosion rate, based on the polarization curves extrapolation and weight loss corrosion. On the basis of the polarization curves calculated corrosion current (the corrosion rate) technique by Tafel extrapolation (±300mV range) and linear polarization method (±25mV). The data obtained by the linear polarization method is practically always correlate with the results obtained by Tafel extrapolation. A weight corrosion was conducted during the months of aging in the electrolyte and the mass change of the corrosion rate was calculated. Increasing the treatment temperature increases the corrosion rate for nitrided and borided samples. In all treatment range, an increase of corrosion current for treated samples compared to untreated observed.
