Timidity is a problem of adolescents. The shy adolescent is characterized by difficulties in communication with peers and opposite sex, lack of initiative, mistrust, embarrassment, nervousness, contact avoidance, inability to plan and organize work, making independent decisions. The solution is to develop the emotional intelligence, which will be represented by five components: emotion awareness, emotion recognition, emotion management, self-motivation and empathy ensure the harmonious development of the adolescent, by preventing the various difficulties faced or faced by the person. The article also presents the results of a survey on the relationship between emotional intelligence, shyness and self-confidence in a group of adolescents. The advanced hypothesis of “Insufficient development of emotional intelligence leads to the development of timidity and communication problems in adolescents” has been confirmed. |
