Rezumat

The lesson as “Students’ activity is performed under the teaching staff in order to acquire the knowledge and skills provided by one topic included in the school-curriculum and during one precisely defined period of time (the class, which is usually 50 minutes). The lesson is the most widely recognized form of the teaching process. The author points out the fact that the lesson should be based on principles bringing forward five methodological advantages, which can be considered norms that put order and structure in teaching activities: 1. Refreshing attention; 2. Checking the level of “proper understanding by all students the issues explained by the teaching staff; otherwise, the students should be helped at once, in their benefit”; 3. Repeating, “Until even the slowest-minded students understand the issues”; 4. Frequent repeating, which ensures that “all students know the lesson better than through long personal efforts”; 5. Ensuring the success, which means that “the student would be from time to time promoted to the teacher’s position”, resulting in “keeping fresh in his or her attitude certain sharpness and ardour for learning, as well as certain degree of independence from his fellows, which would be very useful in the adult’s life”.
