Rezumat

People sometimes choose to work outside of their homeland and migrate to another area, region, or even abroad. Working abroad seen as and alternative to get a better income to full fill their needs. This option is also seen as a solution for Indonesian migrant worker. Most of the migrant worker that work abroad from Indonesia were women. The number of Indonesian women migrant workers has increased dramatically over the last decade. It has steadily risen since the mid 1980’s. Hugo (2001) reported that by the year 2000 the total had increased to over 435,000, with nearly 70% women (Rosenberg et all, p. 17). While working abroad, many of Indonesian women migrant worker was suffer from several kinds of exploitation, abuse, and harassment (Kimura, K. 1996). Solidaritas Perempuan Jakarta reported that 481.078 abuse cases had happen to Indonesian women migrant worker in 1997 (Ernanto, 1998). They are subject to physical, psychological and sexual abuse or an aggression act from their employer in the countries of destination. Employer aggression toward Indonesian women migrant worker usually happen because they think that their employee make a mistake. The aim of this research is to describe the form of violence that experience by Indonesian women migrant worker using content analysis method to analyse research repot related to Indonesian women migrant worker.
