Stereotipurile „războiului rece” sunt depăşite. Astăzi continuă procesul includerii ţărilor postsovietice în relaţiile economice mondiale. Sistemul internaţional modern tinde către principiile de paritate şi egalitate, de aceea se impune ca relevantă noţiunea de colaborare internaţională. În aceste condiţii, relaţiile subiectelor independente internaţionale devin fundamentale în politica externă a statelor. Actualmente, Uniunea Europeană este unul dintre actorii politici şi economici principali în sistemul relaţiilor internaţionale, colaborarea cu care trebuie bazată pe rezolvarea problemelor globale. Problemele de siguranţă şi stabilitate în noua Europă au o importanţă strategică pentru toate subiectele relaţiilor internaţionale discutate în prezentul articol.

The “cold war” stereotypes have disappeared into the past. At present the process of Post Soviet countries integration into the World Economic is going on. The modern international system is aiming at equal rights and parity principles that is why the idea of international collaboration goes first. In this environment, the relations of the independent subjects of the international relations as Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation with the world’s central force become fundamental in the foreign policy of the states. Today the European Union plays a leading political and economic role in international relations; the relation with EU must be based on solving the fundamental and global problems. The problems of security and stability in the new Europe, being at the intersection of long term interests for all the subjects of international relations discussed in the article, are of strategic significance for these countries.
