Method of surgery is a method of selection for morbid obesity. Incising of number of cases and the large diversity of technical methods confi rms the necessity of research of optimal technique.We have studied the results of surgical treatment of 10 patients with morbid obesity during 2003-2008 years. The patients were divided in two groups: Greenwelle gastric bypass by laparotomic ways (6 cases) and adjustable gastric banding in 4 cases.The patient’s age was between 23and 42 years, average age 35,7±2,54. Male/female ratio was 1:9. The body weight varied between 85-196 kg, en average - 129,2±8,12 kg. Body Mass Index (BMI) was between 35-57,4 kg/m2, average - 46,19±2,15 kg/m2. It was studied long term results of these two procedures. The percentage of excess weight lost (%EWL) was 73.7% during 1-5 years after gastric bypass operation and 42.8% after adjustable gastric banding. |
