Interaction between insects happens at the level chemical communication which is based on biologically active substance, such as sexual pheromones. One of mechanisms of a chemical communication is response of a male to sexual pheromones of a female. Use of sexual synthetic pheromones in protection of plants allows to regulate behavior of pests, for example by method of a disorientation of males. The essence of this method consists that males, being in artificially created cloud of a synthetic sexual pheromone, are initiated on an appeal of females. However, males can't to determine female’s location. And interaction is broken. As a result, we have regulation of number pest’s population. The new composition of a sexual pheromone - Z8-12Ac (9,6%)+E8Ac (0,4%)+H-12Ac (90%) for a disorientation of males of Grapholita funebrana was developed by us. The pheromone cost with this composition was reduced significantly. Moreover, the new preparative form promoting uniform allocation of a pheromone throughout the entire period of development of one generation of the pest was developed by us too. In continuation, the method of a disorientation of males of G. funebrana is tested by us under production conditions. The site for orchard of plum was occupied 5, 4 hectares. In result, using new composition of a sexual pheromone of G. funebrana and a developed dispenser by us it was succeeded to reduce disorientation method cost to the level of one chemical handling for generation. Assessment of a method of disorientation showed its outstanding performance in orchard of plum that allowed to protect a harvest from a G. funebrana without use of pesticides. |
