Micronutrients deficiencies have adverse consequences on health, decrease the immune system thus increasing the risk of premature death, worsen the learning and working capacity and reduce economic
efficiency. Lowering these deficiencies would enable the population to achieve its full social and economic potential. A national policy that will include strategies to ensure food security, food fortification with specific micronutrients using appropriate food vehicle, utilisation of food supplements for the population with increased risk, increasing the diversity of consumed foods, educating the population and other public health measures would have a maximum effect in preventing micronutrient deficiencies.

Ликвидация дефицита позволилa бы населению страны достичь полного своего социального и экономического потенциала. Национальная политика, включающая стратегии обеспечения продовольственной безопасности, обогащения соответствующих продуктов питания конкретными микроэлементами, применения пищевых добавок для населения с повышенным риском, увеличения разнообразия потребляемых продуктов питания, воспитания населения и другие меры по общественному здравоохранению будут иметь максимальный эффект по предотвращению дефицита микроэлементов.</description> </descriptions> <formats> <format>application/pdf</format> </formats> </resource>
