In various periods of his activity, Ion Zderchuk admired the works of great sculptors, which became as models to follow. Although sculpture was a peripheral genre during his studies at the School of Fine Arts "I. E. Repin" in Chisinau, he follows the career of sculptor at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg in the studio of Professor Veniamin Pinchuk. Thus, the knowledge gained in the classical school, as well as his own research in the genre of portraiture, have been proposed for study by the young generations of students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design of the SPI "Ion Creanga" in Chisinau, where Ion Zderchuk teaches more than a quarter of a century. |
