Cranial-cerebral trauma occupies an important place in the general trauma section and is the number one cause of mortality and disability at the population under the age of 44. The goal of this study is to determine the criteria and tactics of differential treatment for patients with severe focal cerebral contusion (SFCC) with supratentorial placement.Goals: to establish the criteria for the differential treatment of patients with SFCC; to establish the surgical treatment pattern of patients with SFCC;to determine the efficiency of differential treatment of patients with SFCC, using the Glasgow Outcome Scale. In this study we included 90 patients with SFCC, which underwent in-patient treatment in the neurosurgery department of Balţi Clinical City Hospital during 2004-2008. The Results of this study suggest the differential treatment tactics of patients with SFCC as an effective one. It initially relies on drug treatment as compared to sample where surgical treatment was used during in-patient treatment in hospital. Mortality level in the main group was of 14%, in the control group was of 30,3%. Treatment efficacy of patients with SFCC is determined in accordance with Glasgow Outcome Scale.
