In this article the status and socio-economic development of some freeholder localities from Iași district were analyzed. Author ascertains that the inhabitants of respective villages were free people. Over the centuries, aliquots from freeholder localities were alienated. As a result, freeholder localities disintegrated. At the same time, some parts of the freeholder lands were concentrated in hands by those who held various functions. The most freeholder localities were located on the territory of the current rayons Glodeni, Fălești, Ungheni and Nisporeni. |
