Rezumat | ||||||
The problem is discussed of when and how the wars appeared, through the prism of a burial site nr. 4 of the Neolithic period (mid-Vth century BC) in Giurgiuleşti, Cahul region. The deceased person had a special social status and judging by some artefacts (golden sceptre, polished arms, etc.), probably was a military leader. In reconstruction of the warfare procedures of an epoch, the arms play a determining role, being represented here with daggers (made of the flint, bronze, bone) and spears. There are no arms for the distance struggle (arrowheads, etc.), which leads to the conclusion that the main fighting process was face to face struggle, with the use of different stratagems – ambushes, traps, surroundings, etc |
