In the past, the technological development was slower, and then the development pace began to expand exponentially in many technological areas. The aim of this essay is not to predict the future; it is designed as an overview of the future technologies area and their potential military use over the next ten years. Although the technological development has a significant impact on the armed forces, it will not replace the human element in a conflict; a man is a key player who decides whether or not he will enter an armed conflict and how he will lead it. A technology only offers an opportunity to achieve his goals with greater sovereignty and fewer casualties.
