Rezumat

Hydrazones possess diverse biological and pharmacological properties. These compounds contain C=N bond, which easily coordinates with metal ion, and, from the thermodynamic point of view, form a stable metallocycle. The combination of hydrazones with other functional group leads to compounds with unique physical and chemical character. Owing to their biological and pharmacological properties, they are considered important for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. The developing of pyridine-hydrazones derivatives is important due to their chelating 165   ability and structural flexibility. The aim of this work is the synthesis of 2-[hydrazinylidene(phenyl)methyl]pyridine (I) and 2-[hydrazinylidenemethyl]-6-methoxyphenol (II) and determination of their crystal structure. In I the dihedral angle of pyridine ring with hydrazin fragment is equal to 86.7° while the dihedral angles of NNC groups with hydrazin rings in I and II are equal to 80.2 and 5.6° respectively.
