The study of the literature in the field of study has made it possible to establish that the main natural conditions that determine the landslides are: the geological and hydrogeological conditions of the territories with near-surface layering of the impermeable layers of rocks, the strong infiltration of precipitation, the favorable topographic conditions of fragmentary relief , sudden winter-spring heating. The tendency to reduce areas affected by landslides in the administrative-territorial profile for the study period was established from 34.11 thousand ha in 1985 to 23.75 thousand ha in 2015. Also, the digital map which reflects the distribution of lands affected by landslides in the administrative-territorial profile for 2015. The damage caused by landslides for the period 1997-2015 (71 cases of landslides with significant damage recorded by SPCSE specialists) was determined, which totaled 66.2 million lei. At the same time, the digital map was developed reflecting the degree of exposure of the territory of the Republic of Moldova in the administrative-territorial aspect to the risk of landslides, indicating the significant damages for the period mentioned above.
