Rezumat

From literature sources it is known that many isonicotinoylhydrazide (isoniazid) derivatives are widely used in medical practice as antituberculous, antimicrobial, antifungal, antitumor and other kind of preparations. Their biological activity in many cases is determined by the possibility of formation different coordination compounds with biometal ions in the living organism. Therefore, accumulation and systematization of the experimental data on synthesis and properties of new coordination compounds of biometals with izoniazid derivatives remains an actual direction of the modern chemistry. The aim of this work is the synthesis, determination of the composition, structure, and properties of the coordination compounds of cobalt and copper with isonicotinoylhydrazones (HL1-3) of 2-formyl- (HL1), 2-acetyl- (HL2), and 2-benzoylpyridine (HL3). For achieving these objectives the stated above hydrazones (HL1-3) have been synthesized by condensation of isonicotinoylhydrazide with respective aldehyde or ketone in 1:1 molar ratio. The experiments showed that ethanolic solutions of chlorides and nitrates of stated above metals react with synthesized hydrazones HL1-3 in 1:1 or 1:2 molar ratio forming fine-crystalline coloured coordination compounds. The composition of these compounds was determined using elemental analysis: Cu(L 1-3)X и Co(L1-3)2. The same compounds have been obtained using template reactions. The magnetochemical research showed that the synthesized coordination compounds of both copper and cobalt are paramagnetic and monomeric. The effective magnetic moment values of cobalt complexes indicate that ligands form an octahedron around the metal ion. Monocrystals of copper coordination compound Cu(L3)NO3 were obtained as a result of recrystallization from ethanol and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray analysis. The coordination polyhedron of obtained complex represents a distorted tetragonal bipyramid. The base of the bipyramid is occupied by azomethinic and pyridinic nitrogen atoms, carbamidic and nitrate oxygen atoms. Apical positions are occupied by nitrogen atom of benzoylpyridinic moiety and another oxygen atom of the nitrate-ion. The rest copper coordination compounds have analogous structure. The synthesized compounds show selective bactericidal activity towards the mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv in the range of concentration 500-50 μg/mL.
