Buckwheat is the valuable cereal crop with non-waste production technology. The unique biochemical properties of buckwheat determine it as valuable food, insurance, agrotechnical and culture for the honey mesh conveyor. Long-term scientific experience (more than 45 years), the buckwheat collection of Fagopyrum Mill, available in PDATU allowed to create breeders more than 45 buckwheat varieties. A short description of the new perspective buckwheat variety Kamianchanka is observed, which was created in Podilskyi State Agrarian and Engineering University. Breeders of PDATU candidates of agricultural Sciences Vilchynska L.A. and Gavrylianchyk R.Yu., Gorodynska O.P., postgraduate student Kaminna O.O. by hybridization method of varieties Roksolana × Kazanska megalocarpous, new variety of buckwheat Kamianchanka has been created. Creation, study, evaluation, reproduction and transfering to the State sort testing of new variety has been carried out in accordance with the generally accepted the state varietal test method. Variety Kamianchanka was transferred to the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Variety Expertise in 2016. The applicant of the new variety Kamianchanka - Podilskyi State Agrarian and Engineering University (№ application no. 16008001). According to the preliminary findings of the qualification expertise conducted, the buckwheat variety Kamianchanka exceeds the varieties’ average yield that have passed state registration for the previous five years in the forest-steppe zone. The results’ analysis of field research on the difference, uniformity and stability (DUS) of this variety in 2017 showed, that its uniformity is within the norm limits.
