The article written by Elena Mironenco is dedicated to a leading figure of the contemporary music of the Republic of Moldova. Based on analysis of the Sound Etude nr.4 (text by Moldavian poet Traian) the author demonstrated stil a fruitfulness of post-
modernistic space of the contemporary music in Europe. The important feature of post-
modernism is a fusion of different musical languages manifested distinctively in the Sound Etude nr.4 where post-avant-garde trends are combined harmoniously with archetypical signs of cultural and national identity.
