The image of state has a crucial importance for a nation due to the fact that it generates a perception about the country. Since, the Second World War, all the countries defined a universal value that is – the respect of human rights. Thus, the majority of countries invested efforts for establishing special national and international mechanisms that will ensure the protection of human rights all over the world. Some countries managed to achieve results in this field, others are still working on it. Republic of Moldova is also concerned with this fundamental value. Hence, the level of assuring the respect of human right on national level is rated by international community that consequently generates a perception about the country in this domain.
