Rezumat

In the present era, the ever-increasing dependence of the world’s oil economies is an undeniable reality. Michael Collon argues, „if you want to lead the world, you have to control oil.” Petrol is the resource that moves most sectors of the national and world economy, and the interdependencies between resources and development, prosperity and power have been decoded and modeled to a great extent the beginning of the 21st century that seeks to increase the dependence of the world’s economies on energy resources, especially oil as the main energy resource. In this context the tendency of the great powers to gain control over the most significant material resources of the planet and implicitly on their prices, as energy resources play an increasingly important role in the position and role of a state in the system of international relations. The aim of the research is to investigate the energy security policy in the European space with repercussions on the energy of the Republic of Moldova.
