In academic practice the assessment methods have improved because of effective correlation between teaching, learning and assessment process and the well fixed objectives for the formation of young qualified specialists. Taking into consideration the three components of the education process –teaching, learning and assessment, the latter is not considered a sensitive issue because the effects of evaluative actions are felt not only within the education system, but also outside of it, namely the cultural, social and even political field. The term „ assessment methods” refers to the used techniques of evaluating students. This article aims to examine some methods of assessment within the English language courses with specific objectives as well as to analyze the importance of their use in the educational process. |
