Rezumat

The aim of the paper is to evaluate the diversity of parasitic fauna and to highlight major zoonoses at Canis familiaris in Chisinau urban ecosystems. Taxonomically, parasitic species fall into 5 classes, 14 families, 14 genera and 14 species. Parasitofauna diversity includes 14 species, where the prevalence of Isospora canis is 12.5%, respectively of Sarcocystis spp – 2.3%, Dipylidium caninum – 13.4, Diphyllobothrium latum – 1.6%, Toxocara canis – 1.6%, Toxascaris leonina – 4.0%, Ancylostoma caninum – 5.0%, Trichocephalus vulpis – 9.8%, Demodex cani – 25.5%, Sarcoptescanis – 13.5%, Rhipicephalus sanguineus – 1.0%, Otodectes cynotis – 8%, Ctenocephalides canis – 3.5%, and with Trichodectes canis the prevalenceis is 2.5%. Habitually 6 (43.0%) species of ectoparasites were identified and 8 (57.0%) species of endoparasites. The epidemiological structure consists of 11 (78.6%) parasitic species with zoonotic impact and 3 (21.4%) species are characteristic for canines.
