На основе материалов, полученных в результате полевых исследований, проведенных в 2008–2009 гг. среди представителей белорусской диаспоры Молдовы, в статье рассматриваются этнические стереотипы, характерные для белорусов. В ходе опроса респондентам было предложено выделить характерные на их взгляд значимые черты характера, свойственные представителям белорусского этноса в целом и, в определенной степени, отличающие их от других народов. Полученные свободные ответы респондентов, в которых упоминались те или иные ценности и характеристики, были сгруппированы по нескольким блокам с учетом частотности упоминания. Путем обобщения высказываний респондентов о чертах белорусского национального характера авторам удалось выявить основные черты национального характера в представлении белорусов Молдовы, значимость в их сознании социальных установок, ценностных ориентаций и др. На особенности национального характера белорусов, по мнению респондентов, наложили отпечаток конкретно-исторические условия жизни народа. В заключение авторы констатируют, что белорусы Молдовы, проживающие длительное время вдали от этнической Родины, сохранили не только самосознание, но и черты национального характера.

Pe baza materialelor provenite din cercetări de teren, efectuate în perioada 2008–2009, printre reprezentanții belaruși ai diasporei din Moldova, în articol se face referire la stereotipurile etnice caracteristice pentru bieloruși. În cadrul sondajului, respondenții au fost invitați să constate caracteristici, în opinia lor, semnificative trăsături inerente ale reprezentanților etniei belaruse, în general, și, într-o anumită măsură, care le disting de alte popoare. Răspunsurile nestânjenite obținute de la respondenți, în care au fost menționate anumite valori și caracteristici, au fost grupate în mai multe blocuri, avându-se în vedere frecvența de expunere. Prin generalizarea aserțiunilor respondenților cu privire la trăsăturile caracterului național belarus, autorii au reușit să dezvăluie principalele trăsături ale caracterului național în reprezentările bielorușilor din Moldova, importanța în conștiința lor a atitudinilor sociale, a valorilor personale etc. Asupra particularităților caracterului național belarus, în opinia respondenților, și-au lăsat amprenta condițiile concrete istorice de viață ale poporului. În concluzie, autorii au constatat că belarușii din Moldova, stabiliți o lungă perioadă de timp departe de Patria etnică, și-au păstrat nu numai conștiința de sine, ci și trăsăturile caracterului național.

Based on materials obtained through field research carried out in 2008–2009 among representatives of the Belarusian Diaspora of Moldova, the article discusses the ethnic stereotypes typical of Belarusians. In the course of the survey, the respondents were asked to identify, from their point of view, the important traits typical of the representatives of the Belarusian ethnic group as a whole and, to some extent, distinguish them from those of other peoples. In the received free answers, the respondents mention certain values and characteristics, which were grouped into several blocks in accordance with the frequency of their being mentioned. By generalizing the respondents’ statements about the traits of the Belarusian national character, the authors succeeded in revealing the main features of the national character in the view of the Belarusians of Moldova, the importance of their social attitudes, value orientations, etc. In the opinion of the respondents, the specific character of the Belarusians was affected by concrete historical conditions of life. In conclusion, the authors state that the Belarusians of Moldova, who have lived for a long time away from the ethnic homeland, have preserved not only their identity, but also the national traits.
