The functions of the financial responsibility are a specific adaptation to the functions of the legal responsibility and to the general functions of the law. In this article we are going to determine the functions of the financial responsibility and the characteristics that they present. Different authors retain various functions of the financial responsibility. Thus some of them are denying that the financial responsibility has a regulator function, others are denying that the financial responsibility has a preventive function, most of them consider that the financial responsibility has the punitive function and the reparative one. We believe that financial responsibility has the following functions: regulator, preventive, punitive, reparative and educational. In the following article we will give a characterization of mentioned functions and what is the relation between them.

Funcțiile responsabilităţii financiare reprezintă o adaptare specifică a funcțiilor de răspunderea juridică la funcțiile generale ale dreptului. In acest articol vom stabili funcțiile răspunderii financiare, precum și caracteristicile pe care le prezintă. Diferiți autori păstrează menţionează funcții ale responsabilității financiare. Astfel, unii neagă că răspunderea financiară este şi o funcție de reglementare, alţii sunt neagă că răspunderea financiară are o funcție preventivă, insă majoritatea consideră că răspunderea financiară are o funcția punitivă și reparatorie unul. Noi credem că răspunderea financiară are următoarele funcții: regulatorie, preventivă, punitivă, reparatorie și educațională. In următorul articol vom da o caracterizare a funcțiilor menționate și a relațiilor dintre ele.
