According to the statistics data of the world, in every hundred births there are three births of children with intellectual disability. The birth of exceptional child with special needs in the family, child who suffers of mental disability and / or developmental disability is considered as a serious crisis, which violates the family balance and requires organization and adaptation to the current situation. This issue, concerns the researchers and the professionals in social work, psychology and different realms of treatment for some time. Over the years, the professional literature and many studies were engaged in the first-step of the direct effect of birth of exceptional child with special needs on the family as general and on the parents in particular. The great engagement of the first-step in the terms of research was the description of the life of a exceptional child, his adaptation and his development, his ways of coping with life stage, his difficulties, his emotional world and his personal structure and etc. In the second step, the studies engaged in the analysis and examining of the ways of coping with the birth of exceptional child, its effects on marriage life, the emotional coping of fathers, the emotional coping of mothers, the structure of the family and the change which occurring because of the birth of exceptional child and etc. |
