Globalization is a very common concept used to characterize the current state of the world economy, but differently understood by those who characterize it as a phenomenon. Some perceive it as a complete uniformity, others, on the contrary, as a diversification of proportions, based on the observance of common principles. The aim of this paper is to present current understanding of globalization as well as environmental changes in the context of globalization and its influence on demographic evolution, population and the global environment. For impartiality in presenting the pros and cons of globalization have been considered both meanings of the concept, as found in literature but also in international operations, as well as positive and negative effects of the phenomenon. |
