The paper analyzes the determinants of the process of state formation in the modern political arena with regard to Spain. According to the author, state formation as a political process fits into the concept of determinism, ie. develops in the framework of the objective laws of interconnection and interdependence of phenomena and processes presented in public life. The author examines the events of contemporary political history of the Spanish state in the light of the problem of self-determination of Catalonia.         

Lucrarea analizează factorii determinanți ai procesului de formare a statului în arena politică modernă în ceea ce privește Spania. În opinia autorului, formarea statului ca un proces politic se încadrează în conceptul de determinism, adică se dezvoltă în cadrul legilor obiective de interconectare și interdependența fenomenelor și proceselor prezentate în viața publică. Autorul analizează evenimentele istoriei politice contemporane a statului spaniol în lumina problemei de autodeterminare din Catalonia..
