Victoria muncitorilor în manifestaţiile din Petrograd din 1917 au avut ecou şi în Moldova, unde în perioada 8-10 martie au avut loc manifestaţii cu lozinca „Jos tirania“ în oraşele: Chişinău, Akerman, Tiraspol, Bender, Ismail, Orhei, Bălţi. Entuziasmul trezit de evenimentele revoluţionare a condus la unirea activiştilor în organizaţii, partide politice, grupuri de interes comun. În Consiliile create, majoritatea o aveau partidele de stînga, socialiştii moderaţi (menşevicii, eserii). Autorul descrie aceste evenimente cu scopul de a restabili procesul de reconstrucţie a statalităţii moldoveneşti în primele decenii ale secolului al XX-lea.  

The workers' victory in the 1917 demonstrations in Petrograd also echoed in Moldova, where during March 8-10 there were demonstrations with the slogan "Down with the tyranny" in the cities: Chisinau, Akerman, Tiraspol, Bender, Ismail, Orhei, Balti. The enthusiasm awakened by the revolutionary events led to the unification of activists in organizations, political parties, groups of common interest. The majority of the councils were the left-wing parties, the moderate socialists (Mensheviks, esters). The author describes these events to restore the process of reconstruction of Moldovan statehood in the first decades of the 20th century.
