In the medieval Romanian language a certain totality of lexical resources were used to express the notions related to the military. This lexical group included a rich and a varied range of lexemes and expressions that occupied different places in the medieval Romanian language, having a particularly varied degree of their lexical-semantic specialization. An example, in this regard, is the group of terms that refers to military actions and tactics in the Middle Ages, which are characterized not so much by the presence of well-defined terms, with distinct meanings, individualized lexico-semantically, which terminologically differ from the words of general use as through certain relationships of these specialized words with the words of the general literary language. In these relations between the terminological lexemes that denominate military actions and tactics and the Roumanian lexical bacground one can easily find out how it is outlined a system which express the constitution form, at that time, of the military thinking, at the same time creating the system of Romanian military notions.
