Along with mother, country, childhood, another haunting image in the creation of Gregory Vieru is dear and beloved woman, who is the main link in the chain of human everlasting existence without whom he can‘t imagine the happiness on the earth. The poet prefers a terrestrial, real, profound love, a powerful one than can be seen in all aspects and hypostases, in dedication and satisfaction, in flaming miss and boundless trust, fidelity, in sorrow and joy, in jealousy and fascination, in separation and return, in suffering and happiness, in peace and endless burning, that is an overarching love. In most cases the image of beloved woman appears together with mother‘s one, in parallel or in contradictory sense, one representing the present another the past, one representing youth another old age.
