Actuality: This paper presents the ana lysis of the social and medical (anamnesis, obstetrical, extragenital) factors that are linked to the development of the premature birth. Materials and methods: The research includes 394 premature births and 255 births at term that took place in Institute of Mother and Child, Chisinau during the period of January- October 2012. The criteria of including the case in the research was the gestational age from 22 0 to 36 6 weeks and the birth weight more than 500 grams. Results: The average age of the patients was 27,04 ± 0,6 years. The data analysis shows that the majority of the patients (73,6%) from the group of the premature birth live in the countryside, while the rest (26,4%) of the patients live in the urban areas. In our research there were a small number of births that occur in early stage of pregnancy. The total number of the premature births under 34 weeks remains quite high, representing 45%. The teenagers (under 19 years old) more often give birth in the gestation with a severe prematurity ≤ 32 weeks (14,1%). The women who are underweight more often give birth prematurely in the gestation up to 32 weeks, while those who are obese more often give birth at 34-36 6 weeks. Conclusions: A significant correlation was observed in the premature birth with the obstetric complications during the current pregnancy: preeclampsia (OR 7,31, 95% IC 2.98-19.11), threat of the premature birth (OR 6,92, 95% IC 3.7612.96), diabetes (OR 5.01, 95% IC 1.09-31.96), induced pregnancy (OR 2,09, 95% IC 0.96-4.65).. |
